In Light of His Coming

Jesus Christ is going to return. I watch and pray for His coming everyday. I watch by studying Bible prophecy and reading what the Bible says about His promised return. Everyday I am reading headlines, emails, tweets, etc., about the latest world issues. Recently, the swine flu has really grabbed my attention, but so has the earthquake in Mexico and Mid East conflicts. I just keep looking up and wondering if today could be the day. But in light of His coming, I don't worry or get anxious because the Bible is clear that in the end times these things will happen.

If you are out there worried about all these events going on in the world, the Bible clearly states that we are not to worry. Philippians 4:6-7 states we are to be "anxious for nothing". In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus speaks about worry and that we are to "take no thought for your life" because God takes care of us. I want to worry about the swine flu, I use my hand sanitizer more than I already did. I want to worry about Mid East conflicts, but in light of Christ words in Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
